I just woke up and have decided to liveblog a bit. The sun is shining through the trees right outside my window and it creates a really nice shadow play on the glass. There are children from the school across the street playing and I can hear that. My toes are a little cold.

In international news, large crowds of people are rallying in the street because a teacher was jailed for allowing her students to name a teddy bear 'muhammed'. The reason they are demonstrating is not in protest against the strict religious laws of their government, but because they don't think the sentence (15 days in jail) was harsh enough. Many of them were calling for her to be shot.

In positive news, if you would like to buy into the Purple House Investment Syndicate, please contact Ben or Jim. The syndicate will be pooling money to invest socially responsible specialty and index funds. We are initially hoping to buy into a Calvert Alternative Energy Fund.
